THE WORKSHOP DETAILS
Day: Wed 26th April
Location: The Lost Kitchen, Chettiscombe, Tiverton
Time: 6.30 - 9.00pm
During this workshop you will learn how to design and carve your own mini lino block stamps and experiment printing designs onto fabrics or print your own tote bag design with your carved stamps.
I will show you lino stamp examples and inspiration from botanicals, lines and shapes to help you come up with your own stamp design to then carve and print. All materials and resources will be supplied. This is a great workshop for someone who has done lino printing before and wants to experiment with it again or who is completely new to printmaking and wants get creative with a new process.
There will be black, white and some coloured inks available to play with in this workshop and there will be a variety of fabrics to print onto, including a mix of fabric cut offs from fashion brand Roake Studio or you can choose to print your lino stamp/s onto a cotton tote bag. At the end of the workshop you will be able to take home your printed fabric/s or tote bag.
Once dry you could then embroider into your printed fabric, stitch them to make a fabric pouch or simply frame to hang as an art piece.
This a fun creative print workshop run by myself in the glorious barn conversion and restaurant of the Lost Kitchen in Devon.
